Argonne’s nuclear science and technology legacy and future come to the big screen in June through “Pandora’s Promise”, director Robert Stone’s documentary on the conversion of prominent environmentalists to become strong supporters of nuclear energy technology. Commentaries by retired Argonne managers Len Koch and Chuck Till supply the background of Argonne’s R&D work that developed and validated the Integral Fast Reactor concept as the means of safely meeting increasing world demand for electricity without the hydrocarbon emissions that drive global warming.
